About the Author

Hi there! Thank you for taking time to visit my website. I would like to share a quick word about me and why I feel that 'every child deserves a champion'.  I am a long time educator and devotion to literacy has been at the forefront of my career. My goal is to reach all children early on, in spite of race and socio-economic status, influence their passion for reading and help them identify their true aspirations in life. I believe that education, character, spiritual guidance, hard work, and the ability to dream big are the essential tools needed to achieve success!

Dreaming empowers one to be a victor instead of a victim! I admonish every child to 'Ink the Dream'; I'm pleased to announce that my debut book includes a complete 'dream journal'! Putting dreams on paper allows one to identify his/her true aspirations and act on them. ".... a goal without a plan is just a dream". -Author unknown

It is also important that every effort is made to preserve our rich African-American history. Thus, readers get lost in  a book filled with snapshots of indelible marks of history while seeing a glimpse into the sketchy lives and racial struggles of our courageous fore fathers. Perhaps racial healing can take place as this book candidly calls out the racial tension that unapologetically existed during a space in our nation's history.
